ROOKS Rally After First Half Troubles, But Fall By Match End 3-2

Another tough outing for an Inconsistent ECFC team. Though a second half comeback showed signs of a much improved late game effort, there was too much damage done against a sluggish Rooks effort in the 1st half. As we secure our first team for the future, all eyes are on the Final Tournament on March 17th.

Edgewater Castle FC 2-3 SC MOLDOVA

Goals: Jojo Zandanga, Juan Oropeza

The Rooks fell asleep during the first half of the game, allowing Moldova to score two goals after two individual errors. There was a lot of chaos on the field, as Rooks played without focus and conviction. Second half was completely a different story, as we dominated our opponent allowing them two shots on target, unlucky for us one of them went in. We pressed higher up the pitch, we closed them down on their own half, we created some very good scoring chances we were able to tie the game. Unlucky for us we didn’t score more. I am very happy with second half as it proves that we can compete with every team in this division we just have to take the opportunities we have to score goals. Guys have to come ready to go from 1 st to last whistle. We have a lot of quality in the squad we just have to put it all together on the pitch for the whole game, not just have the good spells of 10/15 minutes. We have one more game next week and tournament following week. I am positive we can perform to our full potential in these games…
