Edgewater Castle FC is proud to announce a partnership with Chicago's own Team TST to form a brand new U23 Women's Program for the 2025 season. With their first game being an impressive 2-0 win against South Suburban Soccer Academy last Tuesday, ECFC's Women's U23 Team is looking stronger than ever.

TST is an all girls soccer club founded in 2022 as a response to women traveling out of Chicago in search of quality soccer experiences. Edgewater Castle FC is also hard at work to develop better access to women's soccer, with both organizations recognizing the difficulty for women to gain the same access to league play, quality training and overall player development. Together, Edgewater Castle FC and Team TST are committed to help even the playing field of soccer access for young women in Chicago through collaborating on this brand new, premier quality U23 women's program.

The Women's U23 Team started their season in their NISL-PSL U23 League season victorious last Tuesday with a 2-0 shut out against South Suburban Soccer Academy. With both Carline Sjøstedt and Carolina Carreon scoring impressive goals, the U23 squad is feeling positive momentum as they look forward to their future matches.

Edgewater Castle FC President and General Manager Andrew Swanson is thrilled for ECFC to be a part of this collabtion and to work hand in hand with TST's Robert Turpin to construct the new U23 program.

"TST has been a positive force in player development in the Chicagoland area, and having worked with Robert Turpin as our former sporting director in the past, this partnership presented a great opportunity for ECFC to expand our women's program to include a U23 side this season," Swanson said.

Turpin is also excited for TST to work together with ECFC.

"This partnership between TST and Edgewater Castle FC is creating a powerful bridge between youth development and the women's game in Chicago," Turpin said. "Togehter, we're building a stronger, more inclusive soccer community - one where girls can see a future in the game and know there's a place for them at every level."

The Women's U23 Team will face their next opponents, Phutbol Phenom's U23 team, on June 17th at 8:15 PM at Olympic Park Field #9.
