The Rooks kept their control of the ball and Indiana United’s defenders stopped the shots they could until the 32nd minute. A cross from the right outside by Pistorius found Leigh right in front of the net, and she sent it from the right in for her second goal of the match and kept the Rooks ahead 3-0.

Edgewater closed out the half keeping possession of the ball, with Indiana United’s keeper putting in work to prevent the Rooks from scoring again. The Rooks took seven shots in the last 17 minutes of the half, with two on target — both caught by Indiana United’s goalkeeper — and five going out of bounds.
